Alessandro Adamo
BIOGRAPHY
Alessandro is an Italian composer who blends contemporary classical styles with jazz idioms and cinematic atmospheres. His works range from rhythm-driven intensity to lyrical and introspective moments.
With Parenthesis, a work for large orchestra, he was awarded at the Toru Takemitsu Composition Award 2024 following a concert performance in Tokyo by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
A percussionist of classical formation, Alessandro started composing in 2019, after enrolling in Piero Niro’s composition class at the Conservatory of Music of Campobasso (Italy). Since 2020 he has received commissions from several concert associations, including Amici della Musica of Campobasso and Padova (Italy), and as part of the Evan Erickson Music 2023 Call for Scores (USA).
His works have been performed in Italy, Austria, Portugal, United States and Japan.
